The ability to cast a vote is a unique right of American life and something we strongly support. Recognizing the potential challenges of voting in today’s environment, we are proud to be a part of Time to VotePTO and Leave ProgramsPTO and Leave ProgramsPTO and Leave Programs, a nonpartisan initiative led by businesses to help ensure employees across America have the appropriate time and support to vote.

In 2016, less than 60% of eligible voters chose to leverage their right to vote in the Presidential election. Reflecting on this troubling trend, Time to Vote was established to help address the challenges that kept potential voters across the country from casting their ballots. The organization’s efforts to increase awareness and encourage employer support of employees having time to vote were immediately felt as the 2018 mid-term elections saw the highest turnout in recent history.

Given the increased complexity of voting in the midst of a pandemic, it’s as important as ever to support our employees’ ability to vote. Some steps we have taken to help ensure this as part of our affiliation with Time to Vote include:

·       Educating our employees on how to register to vote and when registration deadlines are in their state

·       Sharing resources with employees on the different ways they can cast their vote

·       Encouraging our employees to work with their managers to make time to vote in person if that’s their preferred method of voting

In addition to our employees, we encourage all to take the time to have their voice heard.
