Our commitment to build brands consumers love is at the heart of what we do at Smucker. And to deliver on that commitment we need to ensure we are making an impact at every touchpoint. As our brands have grown our in-house creative agency has played an increasingly critical role in realizing that objective, and the team has updated accordingly. Formerly Studio 38, the agency has a new visual identity and name – Seed Creative.

With a nod to our agricultural roots and an eye toward the future, Seed Creative’s identity reflects the team’s role in seeding the growth of our brands — by sowing ideas and emotions in the minds of consumers and customers.

“The scope of our in-house creative work has significantly expanded and evolved, as have the respective talents on our team,” said Nick Betro, the Director of Seed Creative. “The new branding and name better represent that and who our team is today.”

Once a small but mighty team, Seed Creative has grown to a collective group of strategic thinkers with decades of combined ad agency experience across multiple creative disciplines. The range of talent allows them to support a wider variety of business needs and collaborate more effectively with external agency partners.

The team’s work includes social media and digital display ads, brand website content, in-store signage, e-commerce content for major retailers′ websites and more. In addition, Seed Creative has also expanded its video production capabilities, including introducing a new on-campus video production facility to create high-quality content to support our brands.

“We’re very excited about what’s possible in the future,” said Betro, “and truly believe that the best is yet to come.”
