A seasoned executive with more than 20 years of experience in accounting, finance, investment banking and private equity.
Tucker H. Marshall is Chief Financial Officer for The J.M. Smucker Company. In this role, he is charged with supporting the Company’s strategic growth plan, while ensuring the business maintains financial discipline and a focus on shareholder value creation.
During his tenure at Smucker, Tucker has established a leadership role in the finance organization, with responsibility for corporate accounting and financial reporting, accounting shared services and technology solutions, internal audit and compliance, financial planning and analysis, and investor relations.
In his role, Tucker has worked closely with executive leadership on long-term strategic planning, including multiple M&A transactions. He is focused on using innovative and agile approaches to enhance the finance function, with an emphasis on building capabilities for the digital age that facilitate the identification of value-creation opportunities and improve accountability across the company.
Tucker joined Smucker in 2012, following careers in investment banking and private equity at Bank of America and The Reserve Group where he gained diverse financial and capital markets experience.
Tucker graduated from Gettysburg College with a bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance and Accounting. In addition, he studied at the London School of Economics, and received his Master of Business Administration degree from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.
Tucker is a member of the Board of Trustees for Western Reserve Academy, a coeducation boarding and day school located in Hudson, Ohio. He also serves on the Board of Directors for Akron Children's Hospital. In addition, he serves as a member of the Global Standards One U.S. Finance and Audit Committee.
